As artists, we have experienced bad markets that are poorly planned, expensive, and not marketed to the public which wastes time and resources. Because of our bad experiences, we set out to create a market of our own. Our goal is to create a space where small artists can share their work with the public in a thoughtful environment without excessive table fees. A market for customers to find quality, original art from small local artists they may not encounter at the expensive major Portland shows.

Many creators are disheartened to see AI art, cheap imported knick-knacks, or MLMs at craft events. All vendors at Small Batch Artisan Market will be vetted for quality and must have original work. This creates a more enjoyable experience for customers who will be more likely to attend and purchase.

Success for our vendor artisans is at the heart of our ‘why’. We want to see small artists sell their handmade items whether it be decor, jewelry, woodwork, metalwork, pottery, bath & body products, or anything else that is created with originality and dedicated skill.
